Many of us learned from our moms that one of the most reliable ways to the heart is through the stomach. So what better way to honor them than with a Mother’s Day brunch, lunch or dinner?

If you’re still looking for somewhere to celebrate the mom or mother figure in your life, we rounded up some of the specials happening this weekend around Baltimore.

Hotel happenings

Tea & Tulips: Take mom to the Four Seasons Hotel for bottomless mimosas and a brunch buffet, complete with a chocolate fountain, from the hotel’s executive chef Tristan Baker. The event, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., also features a selfie station, a pop-up shop from the hotel spa and a take-home tulip bulb to plant in the garden. 200 International Drive, Harbor East.

Gospel brunch: In Fells Point, the Sagamore Pendry’s Rec Pier Chop House is dedicating its last Sunday Gospel Brunch of the season to moms. Dine on brunch favorites and Southern fare and sip endless mimosas to a backdrop of soulful music. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 1715 Thames St., Fells Point.

Gastropub gathering: Choose from a brunch spread of vanilla cinnamon French toast, root beer-braised short ribs, garlic parmesan mashed potatoes and other plates at the Explorers Gastropub, the restaurant inside the Royal Sonesta Harbor Court hotel. The brunch will take place from noon to 4 p.m., with tickets priced at $55 a person for adults and $28 for children 12 and under. 550 Light St., Downtown Baltimore.

Mother’s Day getaway: For an out-of-town experience, the new Wildset Hotel in St. Michaels is offering complimentary bikes to wheel around town as well as a s’mores kit for the hotel’s firepit. Guests can book a Mother’s Day dinner at the Eastern Shore hotel’s on-site restaurant, Ruse, which specializes in fresh seafood. 209 N. Talbot St., St. Michaels.

Celebratory shows

Taste & Turntables: For a “sensory journey,” check out “Taste & Turntables: My Mother’s Recipe,” a special event organized by Crust by Mack’s Amanda Mack. The Sunday evening gathering at Harborplace offers food from three chefs and performances from three “masters of sound.” Tickets ($50 for one, $80 for two) are available online. 201 E. Pratt St., Downtown Baltimore.

Mother’s Day cabaret: The Maryland Theater Collective will break out the Broadway songbook for a show tunes cabaret at The Collective on the Columbia lakefront. Brunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with music scheduled from 12:30-2:30 p.m. A $50 ticket includes a brunch buffet and one draft beer or wine. 10221 Wincopin Circle, Columbia.

More meals for mom

Charleston: Spoil mom with a three-course Mother’s Day meal from James Beard-nominated chef Cindy Wolf, who is planning spring specials like asparagus soup and a risotto Milanese with saffron, fresh English peas and lemon. The fixed-price meal is $95 a person and includes dessert. 1000 Lancaster St., Harbor East.

Fennec: Impress your foodie mom with a visit to the latest culinary pop-up from chef Scott Bacon, who launched his “nomadic restaurant,” Fennec, last month. The two-night-only dinner, scheduled for Sunday and Monday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Artifact Coffee, will feature shareable, veggie-forward plates like charcoal-roasted carrots, spring pea hummus and oyster mushroom po’ boys, accompanied by a cocktail and mocktail menu from Wight Tea Co.’s Joey Wight. No reservations are required. 1500 Union Ave., Hampden.

Monarque: This French brasserie and burlesque club is usually reserved for guests ages 18 and over, but will be kid-friendly for a Mother’s Day event on Sunday with brunch specials and live music. 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 1010 Fleet St., Harbor East.

The Oregon Grille: Recently renovated, this restaurant in a 19th-century farmhouse will have a photo booth and a brunch menu with cornflake-crusted French toast, lobster eggs Benedict and avocado toast, among other options. If the weather is nice, grab a patio table. 1201 Shawan Road, Hunt Valley.

Prim & Proper: This new Downtown Baltimore hotspot is planning a Mother’s Day brunch “fit for a queen” with options like Maryland crab balls, French toast sticks topped with spiced syrup and vanilla cream, and shrimp and grits with an Old Bay biscuit. 206 E. Redwood St., Downtown Baltimore.

RYMKS Bar & Grille: RYMKS recently announced it will close later this month — but not before Mother’s Day. Take mom for one last meal at the Little Italy restaurant, which is promising a “brunch filled with love, laughter and culinary delights.” 819 E. Pratt St., Little Italy.

The Tilted Row: In Bolton Hill, The Tilted Row will have a make-your-own mimosa bar and a brunch selection featuring chicken and waffles, short rib hash and smoked salmon Benedicts. Start the meal with one of Chef Amy Hessel’s “epic” cinnamon rolls. 305 McMechen St., Bolton Hill.

Verde: For the mom who loves pizza, Verde is serving up a $35, three-course brunch that includes coffee, tea, a mimosa or a Bloody Mary. 641 S Montford Ave., Canton.

A few more ideas

Schola cooking classes: Get hands-on with a Mother’s Day-themed class at this Baltimore cooking school. For $80 a person, learn to whip up classics like cinnamon buns, English muffins, crab quiche and eggs Benedict. The Sunday course is sold out, but there are still tickets available for a Saturday brunch class as well as a Friday-night Mother’s Day date night. 2744 Lighthouse Point East, Canton.

Food and flowers: For a last-minute gift option, stop by Artifact Coffee to pick up a bakeshop box filled with pastries like doughnuts and muffins. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., a bright green bus from Crimson & Clover Floral Design will also be parked outside selling bouquets. The bus will move to Woodberry Tavern from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for more flower sales. 1500 Union Ave., Hampden; 2010 Clipper Park Road, Woodberry.
