The Orioles are having a party on Eutaw Street, and fans needn’t blast a homer over the flag court to get an invite.
The team will host a block party on Eutaw Street at Camden Yards on March 29 ahead of the Orioles’ home opener two days later, the club announced Wednesday. The event, which will include current Orioles prospects and former players in attendance, will begin at 2:30 p.m., and fans can purchase tickets online for $10 apiece.
The block party will stretch from Eutaw Street throughout Oriole Park’s concourse, and that day’s game against the Blue Jays in Toronto, scheduled for 3:07 p.m., will be broadcast on the videoboard in centerfield and on the televisions on the concourse.
Orioles prospects Enrique Bradfield Jr., Vance Honeycutt, Griff O’Ferrall and Frederick Bencosme will be there to interact with fans and take part in Q&A sessions. Former Orioles relievers Brad Brach and Zack Britton will also participate in Q&As as well as join Orioles Hall of Famer Boog Powell and the prospects in an autograph session exclusively for children. Former Orioles Brian Bass, Larry Bigbie, Mike Bordick, Al Bumbry, Dave Johnson, Steve Johnson, Joe Orsulak and Larry Sheets will also be in attendance to sign autographs for all fans.
Season-ticket holders will have early access to the event at 1:30 p.m. if they purchase their tickets through their “My Orioles Tickets” account. Fans with early entry will be permitted to attend a Q&A session with Orioles assistant general manager Sig Mejdal.
Each fan will receive a rally towel giveaway when they enter the ballpark. Some concession stands will be open, including ones featuring the new Birdland Value Menu that includes $4 hot dogs and $5 beer.
Adults can claim two complimentary tickets for children 14 and under. Meet and greets with mascots as well as face painting, a petting zoo and other kid-friendly activities will be included. Parking is included and will be in Lots A, B and C beginning at 12:30 p.m. Tickets will also be sold on the day of the event at the box office windows near Gates A and H.
