Walk to support of those impacted by breast cancer, watch kids in Halloween costumes, help an animal shelter, see an 80’s pop band in concert, find out what happens to fairy-tale characters after the story ends or listen to scary stories in a library.

Saturday: Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Show your support for those whose lives are impacted by breast cancer at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Baltimore Walk at Camden Yards Lot C, 333 W. Camden St. The 1.7-mile walk starts at Ravens Walk headed south toward M&T Bank Stadium. The event is free, but donations and fundraising are welcome. secure.acsevents.org

Enjoy a Baltimore tradition of kids in costume walking among glowing floats and lanterns at The Great Halloween Lantern Parade at the Pulaski Monument at the intersection of Eastern Avenue and South Linwood Avenue in Patterson Park. There will be a costume contest for kids, lantern making, arts and crafts and more. Registration starts at 3:30 p.m. and the contest starts at 4:30 p.m. The parade line-up is at 7 p.m. The event is free. creativealliance.org

BALTIMORE,MD--Oct. 30, 2005-- 5 month old St. Bernard names "Megz" (R) dressed up like an angel by his owner Tiffany Ball of Essex. You and your pet can lend a helping hand or paw and have fun doing it at the BARCStoberfest at Patterson Park, 2601 E. Baltimore St. The fundraiser benefits the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter.  Activities include a 5K run, 1-mile walk, a beer garden, live music, costume contests, food trucks, yoga with your dog, shopping and more. English pop rock band  Duran Duran will play songs from their 16th studio album Danse Macabre at CFG Bank Arena, 201 W. Baltimore St. The Simon Le Bon-fronted band dominated the airwaves and MTV back in the 1980s with hit songs like “Girls on Film,” “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Rio,” and more.
