The last Uno Pizzeria & Grill in Baltimore has closed.

An Uno restaurant in the Canton Crossing shopping center shut down on Sunday, according to a post on the eatery’s Facebook page.

The pizzeria took over the former Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews space in 2021. The post did not elaborate on the reasons behind the restaurant’s closure, and Amir Yazdi, listed in city liquor board records as the franchise owner, could not immediately be reached for comment.

Yazdi also owned an Uno Pizzeria at Harborplace, according to a Baltimore Business Journal report. That restaurant closed “temporarily” in 2022 and is no longer listed on the chain’s website. A Harborplace spokesperson confirmed that the Uno there is closed permanently.

The pizzeria is the latest business to depart the Canton Crossing shopping center. Atwater’s, a local cafe chain, closed its outpost there last month. Founder Ned Atwater said the restaurant had suffered financially since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and couldn’t come to terms on a lease extension agreement with the center’s landlord, 28 Walker Development.

28 Walker CEO Mark Sapperstein was not immediately available to comment Wednesday afternoon.

Uno Pizzeria & Grill has two remaining locations in Maryland, according to the chain’s website: one in Ellicott City and one in Oakland.
